One of our favourite food markets in Ho Chi Minh with a great mix of comfort, variety of food, air-conditioning, and WiFi. Asiana Food Town was a great place to work and chill out during the hot Vietnam days.
Asiana Food town was one of our favourite places to go for a few reasons.
1. Huge variety of food for reasonable prices
2. Very fast free wifi
4. Lots of seating
You can find basically any Vietnamese meal or dessert here, as well as a lot of international cuisines. The prices are quite reasonable, although they are of course more expensive than the street hawkers.
Asiana Food Town is within walking distance from Bui Vein Street, and can be found next to a nice park with a lake to walk around and lots of public exercise equipment. If you want to get to know locals, just take a seat on one of the park benches and wait a little. If you look like a foreigner, it’s very likely someone will come up and try to talk to you.
Dishes we enjoyed at Asiana Food Town
These rice pancakes were delicious. I have another post in more detail on this and how to eat it.
And then, of course, there was desserts, and smoothies. There are so many delicious smoothies to try there. Unfortunately, we were too busy drinking ours to take photos. There’s also a stall selling a bunch of traditional Vietnamese desserts, and purple taro ice cream. We aren’t so much dessert people, so we’ll just share two of our favourites.
That’s just a small portion of what you can get at Asiana Food Town. There’s also hot pots and seafood and so much more to discover!
Until next time, peace and good times to you all ✌
