Here’s some easy and cool sarong styles that I love to wear at the beach with video examples.
After trying a bunch of sarong styles that I saw online and realizing they look completely ridiculous on me, I’ve found a few of my favourites that actually look okay (I think) on someone who isn’t built like a model.
Simple V-Neck Dress
Step 1: Tie around neck
Take your sarong length ways and tie it around your neck. If you find it hard tying behind your neck, you can simply tie the ends together in front of you and then sit it over your neck.

Step 2: Tie the skirt
Take the sarong halfway between your hip and knees and pull that up and around your waist and tie together.

Simple Over The Shoulder Dress
Step 1: Tie over the shoulder
Take your sarong either long ways or width ways (depending how long you want your dress to be). Put it behind you like a towel and tie it over one shoulder.

Step 2: Tie the skirt
Grab the sarong about halfway between your hip and knee and pull that up and around your waist and tie it on the side.

One Shoulder Fake Pocket Style
Step 1: Tie the sarong lengthways around your bust
Take the sarong lengthways behind you and tie it tightly in front of your chest.

Step 2: Tie over the shoulder
Take the bottom ends of the sarong and bring one up behind and over your shoulder and the other up in front of your shoulder. The them together and voila, you’re done!

Open-Sided Dress
Step 1: Tie over the shoulder
Tie your sarong over one shoulder by holding it behind you width ways. Then bring the back corner over one shoulder and tie it to the front corner.
For a variation, if you have the sarong tool, you can put the sarong ends through that and tie it around your neck, like I have below.

Step 2: Create another knot at the waist
Take the sarong ends at the bottom and tie them together to give the dress more shape.
Basic Sarong Style
Step 1: Tie it behind your neck

Put the sarong behind you and wrap it around in front, crossing the two ends over each other. Tie behind your neck and you’re done!
